We have 10 volunteer co-ordinators in the village. Their fundamental role is one of support to the community until the emergency services arrive.
The lead (Kay Gingell) or deputy lead (Sara Foster) will take instruction from the emergency services and with the help of the co-ordinators, assist with communications, evacuations (if necessary), distribution of essential supplies and/or additional equipment, co-ordinating temporary accommodation for residents and pets.
IT SHOULD BE EMPHASISED THAT NO ONE IS TO PUT THEMSELVES AT RISK AT ANY TIME DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION
